Cases Of Salmonella From Tainted Tomatoes Increases Again

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has once again increased the number of cases of salmonella caused by the tainted tomatoes.Boston (ChattahBox) – The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has once again increased the number of cases of salmonella caused by the tainted tomatoes.

It was only a few days ago that the CDC stated the number of cases of salmonella from tainted tomatoes was around 280.

That number has been increased quite a bit as the number of cases has been confirmed by the CDC to be 383.

The number of states impacted now stands at 30, plus the District of Columbia.

The CDC that the increased number of cases is due to better surveillance and reporting from these states.

Those infected range from 1 to 88 years old, with 47% of them being female.

In total, 48 people have had to be hospitalized to date, but no deaths have been confirmed.
