The CDC has noted that in total, over 550 people have fallen ill in 32 states from the salmonella tainted tomatoes.

The FDA has headed to certain tomato farms as well as warehouse facilities and packing locations in Florida and Mexico to try and find the source.

The majority of those infected have symptoms which include abdominal cramps, diarrhea, fever, etc.

The CDC continues to advise those to wash all tomatoes thoroughly before using them.

Those at the highest risk include the elderly, pregnant women, and infants.

The FDA is looking at the path at which the tomatoes traveled to try and follow it back to an origin.
