Judge Rejects Change To Veteran Affairs’ Health Care System

U.S. DIstrict Judge Samuel Conti ruled against forcing changes to the health care system of the Department of Veterans Affairs...Boston (ChattahBox) – U.S. DIstrict Judge Samuel Conti ruled against forcing changes to the health care system of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

He ruled on Wednesday that the lawsuit against the VA was misdirected, and that those pushing for change needed to go to Congress, and not the VA.

Several veterans have filed lawsuits against the VA, citing a lackluster mental health care system, and lacking benefits.

The hope was that the judge would rule in favor of the victims and force the VA to change, but this did not happen.

Judge Samuel Conti ruled that those who filed the lawsuits “did not prove a systemic denial or unreasonable delay in mental health care.”
