Parents need to be educated about methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) so that they can teach their kids about the staph bacteria, that has the ability to fight off antibodies.

The fear is that with a lack of knowledge, the MRSA bug could lead to a serious infection which can be passed from one person to another.

They have launchedh the National MRSA Education Initiative to try and fight this, by educating aprents.

With parents being more in-the-know about MRSA, they can alert their kids, telling them what to look out for.

Hygiene is stressed as something that is very important,  as you can fight MRSA just by washing your hands, and by cleaning any cuts or scrapes.
