A new survey published in the Journal of the American Medical Association has revealed that virtually no medical students have any type of interest in a career in the field of internal medicine...........Washington (ChattahBox) – A new survey published in the Journal of the American Medical Association has revealed that virtually no medical students have any type of interest in a career in the field of internal medicine.

The survey was conducted by talking with 1,177 medical students from across the U.S.

They found out a startling fact, that only 2% of those medical students were planning to have a career in general internal medicine.

This 2% number reveals a huge decline from past surveys from the 1990s and beyond.

Researchers believe this is the case due to the rising cost of student loans college kids face after school.
