The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has stated that they want food allergen labeling vastly improved...Washington (ChattahBox) – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has stated that they want food allergen labeling vastly improved.

It was just a couple of years ago that a new rule forced food companies to showcase ingredients which may cause allergies.

The FDA is now planning a public hearing to try and improve food allergen labeling.

The hope is that new food allergen labeling rules can be established to provide long-term clarity for consumers.

Food allergies are quite common in the U.S. among kids and adults.

Many of these allergies are potentially fatal is not cared for by those who have them.

The improved labeling could help a great deal.
