The study compared a virtual colonoscopy to a regular colonoscopy in 2,531 people who came from15 different medical centers.

When the study began, all were over the age of 50, and had no major risk factors for colon cancer.

They were all considered to be simply average patients getting tested.

Researchers discovered that virtual colonoscopy was able to detect 90% of what ws found with the standard colonoscopy tests.

The new study has found that for the average patient, a virtual colonoscopy may be the best way to go.

The study has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
