Researchers from the University of London, University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, and St. George’s carried out the study to see if various types of UV radiation exposure was more dangerous than others.

The found that sunbathing outside or in an indoor tanning bed were equally as dangerous.

Both were found to lead to DNA damage, developing skin cancer.

This has sparked a push to ban people under the age of 18 being able to use indoor tanning beds.

Every year, UV rays lead to skin cancer, causing tens of thousands of deaths.

This study has shown once and for all, there is no safe way to tan.
