American Kids More Drugged Up Than Those In Europe

A new study has shown that American kids are on more medication tha European kids.<br /> .......... .Boston (ChattahBox) – A new study has shown that American kids are on more medication tha European kids.

The study, led by Zulie Zito from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Maryland at Baltimore, focused on the use of anti-depressants, as well as stimulant medication in kids.

The study was conducted by analyzing the health records of 600,000 children who were insured in the U.S., Germany, as well as the Netherlands.

All of the data from the children was done from the year 2000.

They found that the prevalence of antipsychotic drugs in American kids was 1.5 to 2.2 times greater than in Europe.

This was even more clear when looking at anti-depressant and stimulant medications.

The prevalence was found to be 3 times greater or more with those.

The study is published in the journal Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Mental Health.
