E. Coli Outbreak Traced To Michigan Produce Company

A produce company in the state of Michigan has been linked to an E coli outbreak that has hit students in schools such as Michigan State University and other states........... .Detroit (ChattahBox) – A produce company in the state of Michigan has been linked to an E coli outbreak that has hit students in schools such as Michigan State University and other states.

The Michigan company, Aunt Mid’s Produce Co. has had their iceberg lettuce linked directly to the outbreak.

The Michigan Department of Community Health has confirmed that the company, based in Detroit, is linked to the outbreak and is a possible source.

There have been a total of 26 people who have been diagnosed with the same strain of E. coli since the outbreak began.

The outbreak has also hit Illinois, New York, and Ohio.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is heavily involved as well as they continue to look for the source.
