A new report released by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has found that nearly 100% of nursing homes in the U.S. violate federal health, and safety standards......Washington (ChattahBox) – A new report released by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has found that nearly 100% of nursing homes in the U.S. violate federal health, and safety standards.

The report focused on nursing homes in 2007, looking to see if they followed federal health and safety standards.

What they found was that 94% of the hospitals were in violation of these standards put in place.

There were over 37,000 complaints filed in 2007, with 39% of the violations being proven by inspectors.

20% of the issues had to do with abuse or neglect of patients.

Soon, a ranking system is going to be issued to help rank nursing homes.
