Even though the flu season is weeks away, it is not too early to get a flu vaccine.

Every single year, according to the CDC, over 200,000 people are hospitalized due to the flu, with 36,000 dying.

The CDC is stepping things up this year, as they now want all kids aged 6 months to 18-years to get a flu shot.

They are also pushing for all over the age of 50 to get a flu shot, as well as pregnant women, and those with weak immune systems.

The hope is that by pushing the flu vaccine further, they can cut down on the number of deaths  this year.
