In the past, it was believed that vitamin C supplements could help build up the immune system of cancer patients.

This could improve their chances of being able to defeat cancer.

This is not the case though at all, as vitamin C does more harm than good.

Researchers from the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Pennsylvania have found that vitamin C in high doses causes chemotherapy drugs to not work properly.

Vitamin C in patients resulted 30% to 70% fewer cancer cells being killed during treatment.

The study was published in the journal Cancer Research.
