Top Emory Psychiatrist Failed To Report Drug Income

. Charles B. Nemeroff, chief psychiatrist at Emory University, failed to report $1.2 million in income from drug companies.......Washington (ChattahBox) – Dr. Charles B. Nemeroff, chief psychiatrist at Emory University, failed to report $1.2 million in income from drug companies.

Congressional investigators led by Sen. Charles E. Grassley carried out a probe, which revealed that the psychiatry chief failed to report a major amount of drug income.

Dr. Nemeroff violated federal regulations by failing to report the income, which came in from drug makers.

All of the payments made to him from drug makers came over the course of 7 years from 2000 to 2007, with total payments coming out to around $2.8 million.

These payments are considered to be conflict-of-interest disclosures.
