Verizon Wireless and Research In Motion (RIM) have come out and revealed their challenger to the Apple iPhone, kthe BlackBerry Storm.<br /> .....Washington (ChattahBox) – Verizon Wireless and Research In Motion (RIM) have come out and revealed their challenger to the Apple iPhone, kthe BlackBerry Storm.

The BlackBerry Storm, known under the code name Thunder, is the first BlackBerry to feature a touch-screen.

The new device features a touch-screen display, as well as tons of other features.

In terms of features, it supports Verizon’s EV-DO Rev. A, GPS, BlackBerry OS 4.7, and more.

It also packs a bult-in accelerometer, a SureType keyboard when in portrait mode, and a full QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode.

The display is also said to be highly impressive, with the phone measuring in at 4.4 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide.

There is no word yet on a release date or pricing, but it is expected to launch this holiday season.
