The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released the guidelines this week, stating that adults need to get 30 minutes of exercise each day, 5 days per week.

Kids on the other hand, are recommended to get a full hour every single day.

The exercise does not have to come from the gym either, as the guidelines state you can get physical activity in a variety of ways.

Whatever type of physical activity can fit into your life should be what you do.

This comes as many adults in the U.S. get less than the recommended amount of physical activity.

On top of that, 25% get no exercise during the day at all.
