It is well known that vitamin D plays a major role in the health of people, as it can fight off things such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, etc.

The new recommendation is for kids to double their intake of vitamin D from 200 units daily to 400 units.

Vitamin D is found from UV rays, as well as some foods such as milk, fish, eggs, etc.

It is important to get the proper amount of vitamin D for your heart, bones, and other factors of your health.

As of right now, reports state that there are only 50% of kids getting the recommended dose.

The new recommendations will be published in the November issue of the journal Pediatrics.
