The hold is due to the allegations against lead psychiatrist Dr. Charles Nemeroff.

According to reports, Dr. Nemeroff failed to disclose income received from the drug maker GlaxoSmithKline (GSK),

Over a 3-year period, while he was heading up studies on five different anti-depressant drugs from GSK, he received $250,000 from the drug maker that he did not disclose.

This is a major issue, as he agreed to not acept more than $10,000 per year according to a letter he signed to Emory in 2004.
