Vermont Company Recalls Ground Beef, E Coli Outbreak

An  E. coli outbreak has caled the Vermont Livestock, Slaughter and Processing Co. to recall  2,758 pounds of ground beef................Washington (ChattahBox) – AnĀ  E. coli outbreak has caled the Vermont Livestock, Slaughter and Processing Co. to recallĀ  2,758 pounds of ground beef.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has made it clear that the ground beef may be contaminated with E. coli.

So far, 10 cases of E. coli have been linked directly to ground beef from the Vermont company.

Included in the recall are 5-pound packages of “VT BURGER CO GROUND BEEF.”

They carry the number “EST. 9558” and different lot codes.

The lot codes include, “090508A,” “090808A,” “091208A,” “092209A.”

They were all produced on either September 5, 8, 12, 19, or 22nd.
