Food Industry Giants Unite To Follow Nutritional Standards

Giants in the food and beverage industry have come together to accept common nutritional standards..............Washington (ChattahBox) – Giants in the food and beverage industry have come together to accept common nutritional standards.

They hope that by coming together they can make it simpler for customers to understand the nutrition of certain products.

The new move will call for standards in quality labels and such on products.

This is all part of theĀ  Smart Choice Program which will be revealed in the middle of 2009, and was developed by Scientists, retailers, and others.

Companies which have already joined up include Kellogg, Kraft Foods, PepsiCo, Unilever, General Mills, ConAgra Foods, Coca-Cola, and Wal-Mart.
