The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee put out the report which was against the FDA.

The report stated that they found top FDA officials going against what the political appointees wanted.

Instead of going with FDA officials, the appointees went their own way on how they set limits on how liable drug makers could be.

These FDA political appointees virtually overruled the officials and experts in how they set up the standards.

The standards in place would make it harder for consumers to sue drug makers.

This comes just before the U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear the case of Wyeth vs. Levine, which will use these standards heavily.
