New Study Shows Benefits to a Big Butt?

January 8, 2009

US (ChattahBox) -– The question ‘Does my butt look big?” may have very different connotations, after a study by the Harvard Medical School showed health benefits to a large behind.

According to the research, certain types of fat that gather around the hips and buttocks is quite effective in fighting off type 2 diabetes, by increasing the bodies ability to effectively use insulin. The fat cells, which were injected into mice, even helped them to easily lose weight.

“The surprising thing was that it wasn’t where the fat was located, it was the kind of fat that was the most important variable,” explained Dr. Ronald Kahn. “Even more surprising, it wasn’t that abdominal fat was exerting negative effects, but that subcutaneous fat was producing a good effect. I think it’s an important result because not only does it say that not all fat is bad, but I think it points to a special aspect of fat where we need to do more research.”

Researchers are working on isolating the hormone responsible.

If one is slim, one doesn’t really have to worry about obesity related diabetes, also will not have to carry an ugly sac of lard and cellulite on her back (a huge arse or love handles). Stumpy pillars as legs and a big arse are not beautiful either. Jiggly lardy people are gross.
