Japan (ChattahBox) – New studies into the algae super food chlorella has proven some of the health and lifestyle benefits that many have been claiming for a long time.

Probably the biggest potential benefit is for the immune system. Already, chlorella is being used by cancer patients in various countries in order to boost their immune system and fight against dangerous illnesses that can be deadly in those receiving chemotherapy and radiation.

But it is also packed with various nutrients and protein, and works as a natural antioxidant and deodorant.

It has also been shown to have an effect on reducing body fat, battling obesity, increasing heart health, and fighting against depression.

Chlorella is an algae found in freshwater ponds in the Far East. They create a faint greenish color in the water where they grow, and can be directly harvested as a herbal medication, or a source of high-protein food.

While it has been used in many circles for years, it is only now beginning to become well known on a wider front, with capsules being sold in most healthfood stores and pharmacies around the world.

Further tests are continuing to find the other benefits of this super-plant, and how they might be further utilized.

Yes – chlorella can be used to effectively treat an astonishing range of ailments. Perhaps the underlying reason it’s so good for us is simply that it’s a naturally concentrated green food. Sharing 99.4% of our DNA with chimpanzees whose diet includes 25-50% greens depending on the season – it’s easy to see from where many of our modern health malaises stem. Chlorella can provide a much needed boost of these essential greens.
