Researchers from universities across the U.S. ran the study and found that the plants in California are greatly threatened by global warming.

The rise in temperatures and the decrease in the amount of rain are causing the plants to be in danger.

They stated that in order for the plants to be safe, they will have to migrate one mile north each year.

The belief is that by 2100, the Earth is expected to warm by anywhere from 2 degrees to 11.5 degrees Fahrenheit.

The results will be published in the online science journal PLoS-ONE.
