A new study published in the journal Science, has changed the bird family tree forever.<br /> .Washington (ChattahBox) – A new study published in the journal Science, has changed the bird family tree forever.

The Early Bird Project, which took years to complete, was the largest study ever on bird genetics.

Researchers looked at nearly 170 bird species and came up with some amazing discoveries.

They found some pretty startling things which will likely change the bird family tree. Among these are that falcons are not closely related to hawks and eagles.

They also found that colorful hummingbirds evolved from a nocturnal bird called the nightjar.

Another finding was that the tropic birds are not related to pelicans or any other type of water bird.

In the end, they concluded that birds evolved over time, and not just all at once into their modern form.
