The reason for the high level of activity is warmer sea level temperatures.

The researchers predicted that over the course of September we will see four hurricanes, with two of them being major storms.

They have based their research on trends they are seeing with the climate.

The level of activity in September is expected to be nearly doubel what is considered to be normal for September during the hurricane season.
