New Colorful Monkey Found In Brazialian Amazonas

Brazil (ChattahBox) – A new species of monkey, related to the saddleback tamarin, has been discovered in the region of Amazonas.

The distinctive monkey, which is shown above, is mostly gray and brown, but with a fascinating golden pattern along it’s back, was originally seen i 2007, but has only now been fully discovered, and studied.

“This newly described monkey shows that even today there are major wildlife discoveries to be made,” Reuters quoted Fabio Rohe, lead researcher with the Wildlife Conservation Society.

The tiny monkey is only a little over 9 inches tall, with a foot-long tail.
