‘Hands-Free’ Orgasms For Women May Be Caused By Anatomy, Not Biology

August 24, 2009

Georgia (ChattahBox) – A new study has confirmed what many would think to be a common sense assumption: the ability for a woman to orgasm directly from penetration may have more to do with the location of her clitoris, and the man’s ability to hit it.

Most women who are not multi-orgasmic (and so can achieve orgasm easily without clitoral stimulation) are used to engaging the clitoris to achieve orgasm during penetration.

But the study out of Emory University has shown that women whose clitoris is 2.5 cm of distance or less from the vaginal opening are able to have orgasms much more easily during intercourse.

That would mean that the position used during sex would be more important in achieving a ‘hands-free’ climax than any other biological factor.

But, many of us are left wondering why it matters. After all, a woman can just touch her clitoris during intercourse herself during intercourse, or have her partner do it for her.

Even the leader of the study, Kim Wallen, admits that the anatomy isn’t that important.

“Personally, I don’t think the inability to experience no-hands, penis-only intercourse with orgasm says anything about a happy sex life,” he was quoted by The LA Times.

“Maybe it could allow couples to be a bit more inventive in how they have sex.”
