The Boston Celtics managed to storm past the Detroit Pistons in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday night, with amazing performances from Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and the rest of the team.Boston (ChattahBox) – The Boston Celtics managed to storm past the Detroit Pistons in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday night, with amazing performances from Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and the rest of the team.

The Celtics come off of two playoff series in a row where they were stretched to 7-games against the Hawks and Lebron’s Cavaliers.

The Pistons were well rested, but looked more like the tired team compared to the Celtics.

Boston had huge games from Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo also contributed, as did Ray Allen and others. Ray Allen performed far better than he has in past playoff games, though he is still off with his shot.

In all the team defense helped greatly for Boston, leading the way at the packed TD Banknorth Garden

The Celtics came out the winners with an 88-79 victory over the Pistons.

Game 2 is set to take place in Boston on Thursday night, with an 8:30 p.m. start time.
