The series now turns to Detroit where the Celtics and Pistons will square off for game 3.

The Celtics lost in the Garden in Boston 103-97, as the Pistons played some tremendous offensive ball led by Chauncy Billups, Rip Hamilton, and Rodney Stuckey.

Boston’s big three, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett all had huge games, combining for 75 of the 97 Boston points.

The back-up was not there for Boston though as the only effective bench played proved to be James Posey.

Rajon Rondo went 2 for 9 shooting, and Kendrick Perkins had a rough time staying on the floor.

Things now turn to game 3 in Detroit, where the Pistons could take a big 2-1 lead in the series, or see Boston regain home-court advantage once again.
