Ray Allen Finds His Stuff As Celtics Beat Pistons In Game 5

It could have been that white sleeve he was wearing on his left arm, or it could have just been Ray Allen finding his form again, but he sure showed his stuff helping lead the Boston Celtics over the Detroit Pistons in game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals..Detroit (ChattahBox) – It could have been that white sleeve he was wearing on his left arm, or it could have just been Ray Allen finding his form again, but he sure showed his stuff helping lead the Boston Celtics over the Detroit Pistons in game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Ray Allen had been struggling a great deal over the last three weeks but finally found his groove after flirting with success over the past 3 games in the series.

Ray Allen added 29 points for the Celtics in their win over the Pistons, including a clutch jumper with just over 1-minute left, and some very clutch free throws.

Kevin Garnett had a huge night as well with 33 points, as did Kendrick Perkins who contributed with 18 point sand 16 rebounds.

Allen ended up making 5 of 6 from 3-point land, stating after the game in the post-game interview “I never really looked at it like I was in a slump, it was just a matter of me just getting into a rhythm.”

Detroit was down by 15 in the early start of the 4th quarter but fought back and pushed the Celtics to the limit.

The green did not budge though, holding off the Detroit surge led by Rasheed Wallace, Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton, Rodney Stuckey and others.

In the end though it was Boston who got the huge win 106 – 102 taking the commanding 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Game 6 takes place in Detroit this Friday night.
