The Boston Celtics managed to take a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals following a big win on Sunday night in Boston.Boston (ChattahBox) – The Boston Celtics managed to take a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals following a big win on Sunday night in Boston.

The Boston Celtics were led by Paul Pierce who managed to score 28 points, leading the Celtics to the 108-102 victory over the Lakers in a game that was not as close as the score says.

The Celtics had a 95-71 lead with 7:55 left when they went on a 31-9 run to make it very interesting down the stretch.

The Celtics held them off though, winning thanks to clutch free throws at the end.

The NBA Finals now move to Los Angeles for game 3 on Tuesday night.

    Never understood why people believe a 2-0 series lead for the team with homecourt advantage means that they have a commanding lead. All it means is that the team with homecourt won their home games, that’s all. Now if the road team took the first two games, that would be commanding. Three games to one is commanding, but not winning the first two on your homecourt. It’s going back to LA, where the Lakers will have a chance to win three of their home games…
