Griffey was facing a lefty for the Marlins, Hendrickson, with the game taking place in Dolphins Stadium.

He hit the blast on a 3-1 curve ball from Hendrickson, blasting it out of the park.

Only five other players in MLB history have hit 600 home runs, putting him in elite company.
