Ricky Hatton, Former Boxing Champ, Caught Doing Cocaine On Camera

September 14, 2010

(ChattahBox Sports News) – Ricky Hatton, former boxing champ, has been exposed in a less than dignified act; doing line after line of cocaine on camera.

There were three different sessions of cocaine use within a 10 hour period, News of the World has said, and in one we see him pull a small baggy of white powder form his shoe, cut three lines of cocaine, and snort them one after another. In all he did seven lines within a matter of the average work day, a rather large amount that has many concerned for his safety.

A friend who was there told the tabloid that they were terrified that he was going to kill himself if he didn’t get help soon, and after seeing the video I can’t say I blame them for their concern.

“I’m only talking about this because Ricky is a danger to himself. If he carries on like this he’ll kill himself,” fighter Emma Bowe said, and it was allegedly her hotel room where the cocaine was used.

“I’m really, really worried for him, especially if he tries to make a comeback in the ring as he’s hinted – he could have a heart attack.”

The two met a few hours before a fight they attended, and he was already slightly tipsy when he showed up, she said, saying he’d had two pints before arriving. He then had more to drink at the hotel bar, then at a pub afterward.

He kept going to the bathroom and coming back alert and happy before disappearing again, Bowe claimed. It wasn’t until they got back to her room, where they spent a few minutes before heading out to a night club, that she saw him snort the first line.

“I was dumbstruck and felt bitterly disappointed. Ricky was my hero and to see him abusing drugs was such a letdown. He was a real role model, I didn’t expect that of him.”

She saw two other sessions that night, one of which was caught on camera. In the full interview, which can be seen here, she describes his paranoia at the club, and his erratic behavior through the day.

A sad story for such an incredible sportsman.
