This would be the first time in history that HBO would sign a deal that would bring individual episodes of their shows to an online store such as iTunes.

There is no word yet on a price point for the HBO shows but they will likely carry the standard $1.99 per episode price tag, with some shows being higher.

The HBO shows are going to be released on the iTunes store as they are released on the DVD format.

This is being done to protect the subscription base of HBO so that subscribers do not jump ship if the episodes go straight to iTunes a day after they air. Instead those who want them via iTunes will have to wait until they are released along with the DVD releases.
