Viacom wants Google to act to try and cut down on the amount of videos which are infringe upon copyrights.

Viacom stated in the lawsuit that there are 150,000 video clips on YouTube which infringe upon copyrights.

These videos come from South Park, as well as The Daily Show with Jon Stewart..

Google has stated that the Viacom lawsuit puts the freedom of the Internet into jeopardy.

Google is confident that they will win the lawsuit and apparently are prepared to take it all the way to the Supreme Court if they have to.
