Intel Forced To Delay Launch Of Centrino 2 Chips

Intel has announced that they have been forced to delay the launch of their Centrino 2 chips for laptops...New York (ChattahBox) – Intel has announced that they have been forced to delay the launch of their Centrino 2 chips for laptops.

The delay is due to reported issues with the integrated graphics, as well as with the 802.11n wireless set-up.

The Centrino 2 chip sets are also known as Montevina are highly-anticipated new chips which will be heading to laptops soon, and will include either the Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme mobile processors.

The original plan was to launch the Centrino 2 chip sets in June, but now Intel is stating that they will launch in August at the earliest.

Intel has stated they did not want to put out a sub-par product, which is why they decided to delay the launch and get it right.
