Microsoft Reveals Windows 7 With Touch At D6

Microsoft's Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer revealed the next-generation Windows 7 at the Wall Street Journal's D6 conference in California.New York (ChattahBox) – Microsoft’s Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer revealed the next-generation Windows 7 at the Wall Street Journal’s D6 conference in California.

There were not a great amount of detail revealed in regards to Windows 7.

The main announcement was that it will run off of multi-touch technology, allowing users to touch their computers to navigate through Windows, similar to the technology used in Microsoft Surface.

Microsoft is expected to roll-out Windows 7 in either 2009 or 2010, bringing big innovations to laptops and desktop PCs.

Windows 7 will run off of the layout established in Windows Vista, and expand with the touch technology.
