AT&T Inc. has released a statement which has led many to believe that the Internet service provider may charge extra fees to heavy broadband users.New York (ChattahBox) – AT&T Inc. has released a statement which has led many to believe that the Internet service provider may charge extra fees to heavy broadband users.

AT&T has released a statement which revealed that 5% of their DSL customers use 46% of the total bandwith,

Due to this fact, the belief is that they will begin to charge heavy broadband users extra fees based on how much they download and upload.

No word has yet to be revealed as to how much the fees will be or anything of that nature.

It could be similar to how Time Warner Cable set up a system in Texas, where an extra dollar is charged to the month’s bill once they go above the limit of 40GB per month or so of data.
