Palm Centro Gets Unlocked, New Google Maps Feature

The Palm Centro is already available through Verizon Wireless, AT&T, as well as Sprint. The company announced the new version will retail for $299, and will be a similar version to the AT&T release with one new upgrade, My Location being added to Google Maps.

This adds a GPS-element of sorts to the phone, allowing users to pinpoint their exact location.

The new release of the Palm Centro will also feature a full QWERTY keyboard, touch screen, Bluetooth, IM, EDGE support, among other things.

By the end of 2008, the Palm Centro is expected to have 2 million units shipped.
