Steve Ballmer is now just a months away from moving into the office that has been occupied by Bill Gates for years.

Things are not all sunshine and rainbows for Steve Ballmer though, as he faces some challenges ahead which he has to steer Microsoft through.

These consist of challenges pertaining to their struggle to break into the search engine market, dominated by Google.

They also continue to face troubles overseas, in terms of following regulation and such.

To top it all off, Ballmer is already facing heat for the decision of Microsoft to pull Windows XP off store shelves as of today.

With all that said, it is up to Ballmer to steer the ship that is Microsoft from here on out.
