Apple is reportedly working hard with U.S. wireless carrier AT&T to try to set up a tethering plan for the iPhone 3G........Washington (ChattahBox) – Apple is reportedly working hard with U.S. wireless carrier AT&T to try to set up a tethering plan for the iPhone 3G.

The idea behind tethering is to allow your iPhone 3G’s 3G network connection to be used on your laptop as an internet connection.

This would be offered in the form of an upgraded data plan for around $30 extra each month.

This comes after NetShare was released from NullRiver over the App Store, allowing tethering to be done. AT&T forced Apple to remove the app though.

Apple and AT&T are working out details to bring this option to users, kthough no price or date have been announced.
