Google Chrome launched for the first time on Tuesday in the form of a beta release for Windows platforms.

The beta release for Windows has been deemed a major success thus far, as Google Chrome is establishing itself as a major player in the Web browser market very quickly.

The Google Chrome browser is being seen as an extremely fast browser, and thanks to it running a process for every tab, it rarely crashes.

The idea behind the Web brwoser is to focus on both usability and speed.

Those are its highlights, as the very practical browser is likely going to appeal to the masses, especially once everyone gets used to the new UI and all that stuff.

It is clear Google Chrome is here to stay, and IE and Firefox need to watch their backs.
