Google, the search engine giant, has announced a change to their privacy policy just this week.....Washington (ChattahBox) – Google, the search engine giant, has announced a change to their privacy policy just this week.

Google announced the change to their privacy policy, as it has to do directly with their information retention policy.

Google currently had a plan set up so that they would retain user information and data for 18 months.

This time has been cut in half though, as they will now only retain information for 9 months.

This comes as they have been facing pressure from regulators around the world.

Google introduced its privacy policy back in March 2007.
