Apple has reportedly sold 5 million iPhone 3G devices since launch, and looks to build on that number further..............Washington (ChattahBox) – Apple has reportedly sold 5 million iPhone 3G devices since launch, and looks to build on that number further.

Piper Jaffray has reported that Apple has sold 5 million iPhone 3G devices since launch in this quarter.

This comes after they sold 1 million in the first weekend alone.

This is an increase over the 4.1 million that were estimated to be sold.

The goal for Apple is to sell 10 million iPhone devices by the end of 2008.

They have sold 7.5 million to date in 2008, and will need a big holiday sales season to get 10 million.
