T-Mobile Announces 1.5 Million G1 Android Phone Pre-Orders

T-Mobile has come out and stated that 1.5 million people have already pre-ordered the G1 Android phone, which is the first phone to run on the Google Android operating system...........Boston (ChattahBox) – T-Mobile has come out and stated that 1.5 million people have already pre-ordered the G1 Android phone, which is the first phone to run on the Google Android operating system.

T-Mobile and Google unveiled the first Google Android phone,k the G1, earlier in September.

The phone is set to launch in roughly 10 days on October 22nd, and is already being deemed a success.

T-Mobile is allowing current subscribers to pre-order the new phone, which has resulted in 1.5 million pre-orders.

This has caused the manufacturer, HTC, to triple what they were expected to produce.

Comparing this to the iPhone, it took 75 days for Apple to sell 1 million of their iPhone devices.
