The Android Marketplace is similar to the iPhone App Store as it will sell games and applications to users of the smartphone.

This comes as the first Android phone, the T-Mobile G1 is set to launch next week.

The kill switch allows Google to remotely disable any application they please.

The kill switch was confirmed in the terms of service for the Android Marketplace, which states “Google retains the right to remotely remove those applications from your device at it sole discretion.”
