The device uses an artificial track to send brain signals to the limbs of the monkeys, allowing them to move once again.

For the study, which was led by Chet Moritz of the University of Washington in Seattle,  they temporarily gave monkeys a drug to make them paralyzed.

They were then tested with the device, and were asked to play a video game.

With the help of the device, they were able to move their wrist limbs once again.

The study on the new device has been published in the journal Nature.
