Sony confirmed just recently that LittleBigPlanet has been delayed.

The song which caused the delay is called “Tapha Niang” and comes from world music artist Toumani Diabate.

The lyrics of the song have been found to potentially be offensive to Muslims.

When the Arabic lyrics are translated to English they say “Every soul shall taste of death.,” as well as “All that is on Earth shall perish.”

The delay pushes the game back to October 28th, 2008.

Sony has since apologized if anyone was offended by the lyrics.
