Microsoft Jumps Into Cloud Computing With Windows Azure

Microsoft has unveiled Windows Azure, their upcomingc loud computing service that will release along with the successor to Vista, Windows 7....Washington (ChattahBox) – Microsoft has unveiled Windows Azure, their upcomingc loud computing service that will release along with the successor to Vista, Windows 7.

Microsoft chief software architect Ray Ozzie revealed Azure at their Professional Developers Conference in Los Angeles.

This was the first time that the Microsoft cloud computing service had been revealed to the public in this way.

This is the first entry for Microsoft into the cloud computing business, as Azure will release day and date with Windows 7 according to reports.

Microsoft is definitely trying to play catch-up in regards to cloud computing, as they are trailing companies such as Amazon, Google, and others.

This means that the king of the PC operating system is trying to catch the rest of the pack, something they do not usually have to do.

Microsoft will face some serious competition from many companies laong the way, but hopes Azure will be a success.
